Lake Mead Shoreline
Even with the water receding from Lake Mead, the area is still beautiful. In spring, the Overton Arm bursts with wildflowers, while yuccas and other high-elevation plants come into bloom. The mountains glisten in the sunlight, and the lake sits calm, preparing for a long, hot summer.
This painting is a textural study, worked entirely with a palette knife. Depth is created through layered foreground and textured inlays.
