Dark Forest
Inspired by Paul Kenton’s Abstract Flow and Liu Cixin’s Three Body Problem trilogy, this is my version of the Dark Forest. Layered lines, representing trees in the forest, mask a new sunrise and the beautiful blue sky beyond — glimpses of light and color breaking through, but never fully revealed.
Built with brushwork as well as dripped paint, the piece is intended to be interpreted as one sees fit, revealing the world hiding in plain sight.
